Brenda L. Smith and M. Diane Rogers are accomplished local and family history educators. This presentation is intended to support the responsibility that each of us has for the privately held personal papers, photographs and three dimensional objects that hold the stories of our families and communities. In 2010 they conceived and presented “Putting Granny In Context: Using Family History Research Techniques to Discover Women in History” to the Canadian Committee on Women’s History Conference. Diane and Brenda will expand on this idea to focus on techniques for organizing and safeguarding our precious memories.
